insurance for an empty flat

I bought a flat recently to let out but am short on the money needed to get it up to a good rental standard. My bank will loan the difference but I would rather save up which I've worked out will take me about 4 months. In the meantime, my flat will remain empty and yes I've thought about the lost rental income but in the long-term it's not such an issue. So what insurance must I get for the duration of the flat being empty? The freehold is owned by a housing association and the building is a house divided into four flats. Any advice would be great, thanks!
