unfair parking ticket!

i attended a carboot sale at chester hospital on sunday.realising i had bought something which i'd forgotten to pick up i parked against a brick wall with no parking restrictions and no yellow lines.on return traffick wardens were giving me a ticket.i tried to argue it out to which they pointed to a parking restriction sign in a parking bay across the road approx 15yds away.when i pointed out this referred to the parking bay they then said i was parked on yellow lines.when i looked there were very faint remants of yellow lines and only a couple of tiny patches of yellow left.this was not visable until you got out of a car and scruttinased the ground.i refuse to pay and i returned to take photos i was so anouyed!help!

Can you confirm whether the 'traffick (sic) wardens' were council traffic wardens (Civil Enforcement Officers) or a Private Parking Company's (PPC) wardens (Parking Chimps)?

If they were CEOs it would be advisable to post this on the Pepipoo site as it has a specialist section dealing with council issued tickets. Here's the Link.

If issued by a PPC, please give details of the PPC to start, after which we can give you further advice.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above we need to know who gave you this ticket
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
