This could be old news, but I only just found out.
They've removed the facility for a daily cap on the amount of dinner money our children can spend. I don't know when it happened, it certainly used to be there, but I don't remember any communication advising that it had been removed.
I only found out by chance because the dinner money I put on my daughter's account on Thursday has run out already, looking at her record she bought three lots of school dinner on Friday, yes three, for her friends.
While on this occasion these were genuine friends she bought for, I saw the daily limit as a safeguard against children being coerced into buying others lunch, now this has been removed there's nothing stopping bullies sending your child up to buy food for them and getting through all your dinner money in one day.
I have no idea why they removed the daily limit but I am not a happy bunny.

Yes, there used to be when my sons first got it, must have been 3-4 years ago, you could choose how much you wanted the limit to be, their's was set to £3 per day, as recommended by the school and was more than enough.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
