PPI letter.

HI. I have received a letter from the Nationwide about a PPI I was sold. They are asking me in a PPI Reply Form to say why "I would like you to review the LoanCare policy". I have no idea of what the answer should be, other than the money would be helpful now. Could someone give some advise on what the reply should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Have you complained about it being mis sold? In which case you need to tell them why you think it was mis sold.

Wanting some money won't be a good enough reason.

They are inviting you to make a complaint if you feel you were mis-sold. It allows them to activate the time bar clock to stop future complaints. It does not mean you were mis-sold. You cannot just ask for the money as it would be useful. That is not a complaint reason.

The truth. You give the reasons you have for complaint. Don't make things up as that can harm your complaint if they have evidence that shows you are telling lies. You would lose credibility and many complaints are a balance of probability decision that goes to the most credible side.

We had this PPI added to our new mortgage in 2002 and nothing was explained to us about this cover.

When I was clearing out my paperwork I noticed 23.00 a month was being paid this showed on my statement sent yearly .

Looking into this further I contacted Nationwide in 2011 and the reply was that it was sold correctly and we selected this cover on the set up of mortgage.

This was not the case as all we had done was sell one house and bought another and the mortgage was gained by the same company being the Portman at the time (now Nationwide).

I then pointed out that I have a medical condition and that I would have not selected an insurance as any claim would possibly rejected and the other reason also why would I have needed the extra outgoing .

They asked for evidence of my health problems I gave them this and they paid up last month. It was not life changing figure but it helped:)
