    Thanks Polly, i thought that about the Economy 7 but they have said that it is something to do with the key meter. They have admitted that they have got it wrong, but there seems to be some computer on their system churning out these estimated bills.
    Pineapple88, we have only been with them a short while, changed over 6 months ago, the meter started at 0 and was read by them, I have worked out my bill based on their charges of kilowatt hours plus the standing charge, and minus what i have already paid. Hopefully the sum will be similar. The prices went up in January so difficult to get an exact reading. All I want is for them to phone back in the next couple of days as promised.

    I'm sorry you've had so many problems sorting this out.

    Sounds like the meter details haven't been updated on your account following the meter exchange. This will have caused the billing to be thrown out, readings to be rejected and estimated bills sent.

    It will also have caused the Direct Debit to be totally miscalculated.

    From what you've posted, it looks as though one of our specialist complaints teams are currently sorting this out.

    Once the metering has been updated, the account can be re-billed correctly and the Direct Debit re-assessed.
