Bank of Scotland/Halifax phishing scam

Just nearly fell foul of an outstanding phishing attempt after something got through the security on my laptop.
Logged on to the BoS site, username and password as normal, followed by 3 characters from memorable details.
The next page asked for ALL my memorable details, following a security update, but I smelt a rat and logged off and checked with phonebanking.
I tried the Halifax site too, and it was exactly the same.
Please be vigilant - It replicated the real sites exactly.

So, how have you got to the fake websites?
If you (stupidly) used some links in e-mails, I don't see anything outstanding.
If you typed the address manually, this has nothing to do with phishing and most likely it's the infected computer.0 -
So you clicked a link in an email you received??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Blimey! Where did I say I clicked a link?
I typed the address manually as always.
Pardon me for trying to help others who may not have realised.
