I don't think great retail is something many of us experience, but currys have really surprised me.
I got a fantastic deal on a Panasonic smart viera 50 odd inch 3d tv last year when they were re locating to another unit in our town. The sales assistant threw in first months 'insurance' free and explained I could cancel it blah blah. He explained what it covered and to be honest sounded too good to be true.
I was sorting my accounts out earlier this year and very nearly cancelled the policy as its £7 a month but I didn't.
Am I glad!
God knows how but had an accident with OH shoving the coffee table, everything went flying off it into the tv, smashed the screen and !!!!!!ed up the power supply connection.
I didn't think the policy would cover it but I rang them on the off chance, and today two happy smiley men came and picked it up and are bringing it back within 7 days good as new, if they can't repair it they will replace or refund.
How good is that?
One very happy customer!

I'm amazed that any insurance covers the violent tantrums of a man old enough to know better than behave like a two year old denied sweeties in the queue for the checkout.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Haha! I agree. Won't show him that though
To be fair he was kicking it out the way to get past. But still shouldn't have done it.
Think he knows that now.0 -
I would be more concerned about his behaviour. Domestic abuse is a slippery slope. Making excuses (he was only kicking it out the way to get past) just colludes. Im not saying it is a problem but think you need to be aware in case it develops. It is NOT ok to be abusive.0

He is far from abusive! I suppose you've never been stressed and slammed anything? Wow. I'm not at all concerned!0

Hah! It only took 2 posts to get to battering the TV to battering the OP. Love this place sometimes...
A lot of them cover accidental damage, of which this is. Similar to the wii issues when it first came out/got popular; people throwing the remote into the screen!0 -

Will someone think of the children?
This guy has a serious problem of battering anything and everything in his path. You should call him Tornado.0 -
