Hi
We are a young Bolivian/Hungaryan couple looking for some advice on what to do now on, as our honeymoon had to be cancelled due to a refused transit visa through America.
Well, mi name is Nelson, and after getting married a promise my wife to take her to where a was born(Bolivia), and a couple of month around South America. never though that a cheap ticket through Miami to South America could became the worst nightmare i have ever had.
I bought two tickets, 6 month before go, and completily unaware of the need of a transit visa in order to change flights once in america, i'd started to follow all the procedure very confident to get it, of course, i had reason to believe it wouldn't be a problem.
Unfortunately i had been refuse, and looking forward what to do now on, anyone knows if i'm entitled to a refund? as the agency refused it at all...is there anyone who can help me with some advice...?

No, afraid not. Visas are your responsibility unless you have written confirmation otherwise from the travel agent.0

Yup - and booking any trip which involves a change in the US is always a risk unless you have already got any necessary transit visas. Plus even if you do have all of the necessary documentation, transfers in the US are never pleasurable.
Unfortunately, it does look like AA via Miami is the cheapest way of getting there but you may want to look at LAN Chile via Santiago.0
