Best Debt Managemnet company.

Was with gregory pennington for a while but for all there help the two first paments being taken seemed a bit much whilst not alot was comming from it.

so after reading about to do it yourself for free via the CAB and Pay plan I gave both them ago but to be onest thought it would be just as easy to get in touch with the creditors myself for the work involved.

So i got in touch with the creditors myself and agreed payments I could afford to each monthly to clear them as soon as possible on the premiss that they'd freeze any interest for keeping up payments, altho I've kept to my side of the deal yet the interest keeps adding.

also working mon to fri 9 till 7 plus taking extra work when offered, makes constantly contacting the creditors akward.

So am willing to pay a debt managemnt to deal with it all, so looking for opinions of good companys who pretty much sort out all details and deal with the creditors leaving me get on with the rest of my life ...

    Payplan for me.

Helped me pay off nigh on £24000 in 7 1/2 years.

Cant recommend them highly enough - with the main advantage of them over a fee paying company (like Gregory Pennington) is that every penny went to my creditors.

If you are using a provider certainly do use one of the free ones, as listed on this link IMPORTANT - Where to seek professional impartial advice about your debts.

But if you do want to continue to self-manage then regarding the interest - its worth writing to all your creditors to ask them to reconsider freezing interest (good template letter on national debtline website if you need one).

You say its difficult constantly contacting creditors because of work. You shouldn't need to be constantly contacting then - an offer letter and then an update of your circumstance every 6 months should usually be sufficient, and it is best if all contact is done in writing and you steer clear of any phone calls. So it shouldn't impact majorly on work time.
