i am currently looking for home insurance, as at present i have none! i dont like it. i use to be with tesco. then when my ex moved out he stopped paying it, as it was from his wage.
i tried tescos again, but they said no as i dont work.
lloyds tsb (my own bank of 18 years) said no.
i went on a compare thing on the net and was given one company i have never heard of , they called me and asked me to pay £80 upfront. then my monthly payments would be as normal to them.
before i look further. i was hoping anyone on here would know of a good home ( contents only) policy when unemployed.
i am a stay at home mum of 4. and on a carers income support claim for my ill son. thanks xx

Is carers income support a form of unemployment benefit ? Not sure.
If you are a full time carer, then I would put down your occupation as carer. Use a comparison site and/or speak to a local brokers. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
