clean install windows 7

i have had problems with my pc slowing down i have done all the usual deleting files etc in internet options and i have run drefrag and disc cleaner i have decided that the best thing is to reinstall windows 7 afresh and get rid of all the junk i have down loaded ,what is the best way to do it ,i have the original install disc

    depends on the model

    backup and use factory restore partition, or use disc

    Quickest way would be to use Restore Partition if it has one. Downside is that it'll probably come with a lot of bloatware depending on what manufacturer your laptop is from. You can uninstall them one by one afterwards.

    If you have time, clean install from disc but you'll need to download drivers. Back up the driver install files if they're on C: This way, the current files will be moved to a folder called windows.old

    Still, back up your data first.

    Remember to first back up all your files + emails + email addresses + settings to a DVD, Memory stick or external hard drive..
    I must have rebuilt several thousand PC's from scratch over the years and it worries me when people forget their important files !!!
    Is your installation software OEM (ie manufacturer supplied) or is it a genuine Microsoft version ?

    Insert CD/DVD choose the option to boot from CD/DVD erase partition and do a clean install.

    Make sure that you have at least the drivers on a USB stick for the network card.
