Unoccupied property insurance

Can anyone recommend any decent brokers or websites whom deal with insuring an empty property? I know this is a niche market so was wondering if anyone had used any insurance companies in the past. Property is likely to be vacant for another 12 months whilst refurbishment work is completed and house is then sold.

    Hi

Can't remember off the top of my head the company I used but pretty sure it was through one of the money saving expert guides...I got several quotes and there was quite a difference in price so it's worth shopping around...this company insured for upto a year but if you didn't need the insurance after six months they would give a partial refund
Will see if I can find paperwork

NFU do have cover for empty properties, but there are a couple of restrictions and an increased excess. I have used them on a property I owned three years ago that was empty for eight months. NFU were very helpful and clear as to what the restrictions were (can't remember them myself; can't remember much these days... where am I? Nurse. Nurse....).

One aspect they were very clear on was that, while my house was being refurbished, I was covered for any and all accidental damage caused by the builders, in case the builders themselves weren't. I'm not always sensible in remembering to check a builder's indemnity insurance, etc.
