that doesn’t say it is only licensed for professionals to use.
It says any one using it must following industry approved codes of practice, it states it is a professional pesticide product and that you should follow ministry code for plant protection products.
Non of this states for professional use only.
Anyone can buy it but only people with the relevant training can use it. The purchaser is responsible for making sure only trained people use it.
How many amateur gardeners have the correct training?
All operators must be trained and certificated in using and applying any Ministry Approved Professional Product (MAPP).0 -
This is the HSE PDF that refers to training here
It refers to professional users only not the amateur (like most people on here I would believe)
So as an amateur user of the product, I can buy it legally and I can use it with out training legally because i am not a professional user despite the product being designed for professional use.
The important point here is I am an amateur using it for personal use only.
this is a site offering the certificate of competence the training here. There is only one relevant about the legislation that affects amateur use. You must be born before 31/12/1964. So if you are born on or after 1/1/1965 you need the certificate. If you are born before then you do not and can carry on using it as an amateur.0 -
