Hotel and Park for Gatwick (North)

I am planning a trip to Europe in July and I am looking at driving driving down the night before and parking my car at the hotel/airport for the duration of the holiday. I've had a look at holiday extras for various deals which are pretty good but I have read some mixed reviews about the hotels as well. I'll be flying out of Gatwick North terminal and the Arora looks good, easily accessible by train and you can leave the car at the hotel. I've never used the drive-park-fly service before and I'm not sure if it's better to leave my car at the hotel or the long stay car park or use the meet and greet service where the car is parked offsite. I'm looking to have my car parked in a safe location and have easy access to Gatwick North.
If you have any specific hotel recommendations and parking for Gatwick please let me know.
Is it better to park at the hotel or long stay car park?
TIA

Premier Inn at Gatwick North is right opposite the terminal. It only opened last year so everything is still in good condition.
They have a number of special park and stay deals or alternatively, the long stay official Gatwick north car parking is opposite the hotel too.0 -
I have booked premier inn and the cost if £119 for four people (in one room) and 15 days parking. We can check in the night before for our flight so a quick stroll in the morning. No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Another vote here for Premier Inn Gatwick North. We have also booked their park and fly package for July. £109 for room and 15 days parking. As Sandsy says hotel is opposite the north terminal in Gatwick, so a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the airport in the morning. Hotel has very good reviews on tripadvisor.0

Thanks for the replies all. Interestingly, the Premier Inn deal on their own website is cheaper than what is quoted on holiday extras, plus I can get cashback for Premier Inn. I had a look at some other hotel and parking deals which are cheaper than Premier Inn but the hotel reviews aren't that good, at least with Premier Inn the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.0

have you looked at the holiday inn, its much cheaper but you do have to pay for the transfers to the airport - you can get 15 days parking plus room for the night from about £750

I finally booked with Premier Inn, it's convenient, just a short walk away from the airport, got the 8 day parking deal for £89. The 15 day parking deal was £109 which are both pretty good deals. I also got cashback on the booking.
The parking is provided by Valet Parking http://www.gatwickairport.com/parking/valet/ which is conveniently located at the short stay car park. When I travel back all I need to do is exit the arrival hall and collect the car, no phone calls, no waiting.
The only thing I'm concerned about is what to do with my navigator, thinking of putting it in the boot of the car instead of taking it with on holiday.
I checked with Holiday Inn and the cheapest I could find for the same dates was £95.0
