My pc's sound has suddenly stopped working. It all depends on the soundcard required and whether you have basic stereo speakers or something like a Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 or 7.1 system with a subwoofer and surround-sound speakers.
All sorts of cards and prices on eBay, and I suspect the same is true for the other online shops.

Oh yes...the PC's tower will still have the noise of the cooling fan(s) but not much else.
