basically go to this board - http://pinterest.com/curtainsuk/our-favourite-things-competition/ and click PIN IT (top left of each picture) on something you like...can put it anywhere you want - so in a 'Things I Love' board etc will be fine. Keep the text at the bottom of the pin the same so it has the hashtag, or add something to it like 'oooo really love this wonderful colours' etc and that's you entered
people will probably go back to the main board and post REPINNED etc under various items but thats not a term of the comp so there's no need.
(god that was meant to sound really simple sorry)LegalBeagles0 -

Thanks for this, did join ages ago, forgot my log in or how to use it so have been avoiding all pinterest comps!
So for a basic 'repin' comp, you just repin it to your own board - you don't have to follow them too or anything?0 -
Most comps you do need to follow the original comp board as well as part of the comp - but it is safest to follow anyways then if notification is on the original comp post you'll have more chance of seeing it.
Also it is a good idea to have your FB or TW account on your Pinterest profile in case you win and they want to contact you that way - tho most companies post on the winners board or the original comp pin to let you know - TW & FB are a good back up.
Best of luck all

i opened an account to try for the robbie williams comp, and i couldn't believe it when i won! i have had a bit of a go at some more comps and it's quite addictive, but i find some of them complicated too, good luck x0

^ The re-pin ones seem basic enough now but having had a quick look at the pinterest comps listed on here I think it would have to be something I really wanted to bother with the effort some of the comp promoters want!0

I've only ever done one Pinterest comp and I happened to win first time. I won a Nikon D5100 DLSR camera. I was very proud!

I'll only do pinterest comps if I'm bored and have the extra time, because if you put the effort in you will have a very good chance of winning
