Pinterest

I have just set up an account, and attempted (!) to enter my first Pinterest competition.

I was wondering what were peoples experiences with these competitions? Have people won much from Pinterest? Are they worth doing?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Odds on pinterest competitions seem to be better - although they are becoming more popular.

I won Robbie Williams tickets this week on a comp run by Currys PCWorld.

They gave away 10 tickets per 'date' and the comp was just to repin a pin - the date I entered for had 48 repins - and 10 people of those won - so pretty decent odds.

Another date only had 28 repins, and 10 winners from those !!!!!!

I've seen a few where there's under 10 entrants and some where there's a few hundred, but it's very rarely more than that.

I've also won perfume and a £500 tesco voucher through pinterest in the last month. So get on there lol :)

I've done quite well on pinterest.

One of my best wins (£200 debenhams vouchers) came from there. I've also won top price theatre tickets to see "Once" the musical.

    Yes very much worth doing.

I have a board set up called Competitions for the standard 'Repin this image to enter'

Then create boards for anything that requires a bit more effort.

You usually get notified either as a comment on your post or a comment on their post and an email to let you know.

    Happy Pinning :)

I post up any comps I come across in a pin board - http://pinterest.com/amethyst1664/pinterest-competitions-uk/ - then do my own entries separately - there is also a facebook pinterest group board - http://pinterest.com/orion2012/facebook-pinterest-group/

If you have a browse down my boards you'll get an idea (my comp entries are at the bottom half) - I got a bit addicted :D

I've won a bottle of perfume, Robbie Williams tickets, a personalised doormat and £500 tesco clothing vouchers from doing pinterest comps. Some can be a bit time consuming but loads are just a repin job xx

:) Have fun ! Don't forget to click through to the original competition pin to start entering comps, if you do it direct from my board or other boards they may not count xx ( to find original pin click on pic to make full size then click it to go to the source, or look just under the picture where it should say something like 'repinned via /from '

Just been teaching my mummy how to do pinterest comps and she keeps just repinning things from my board lol.
