Help! Reason for Mis-selling

All

I have used my creidt report to identify old accounts, and now know that I have accounts with MBNA and Lloyds which have PPI, which I am claiming as mis-sold.

Now, I do not have any original paperwork, not can I recall the method of sale (online / phone / branch).

I am now at the point where I need to outline the reason why I think it was mis-sold.

Any advice here? Is there a generic reason I can use which will stand?

Conscious that I dont want to stitch myself up.

Thanks is advance

    It's simple. You give the reason why you think were mis sold.

    Why do you think you were?

    If you can't think of a reason why it was mis-sold ....... It might mean it wasn't actually mis-sold at all and was perfectly appropriate for you.

    You wont if you are telling the truth.

    Pretty much the same answers as last time. You do seem to be clutching at straws . . .

    Seems you were at the same point three months ago;
    I know this advice will be on the forum but wanted a quick answer.can I just send a letter off to ask the company to assess my eligibility for a refund ?

    You don't seem to have any valid complaint reasons or documentation.
    Just fill in an Ombudsman complaint form as honestly as you can. Although it's likely you won't be successful, there really is little point trying to hold off the inevitable.
