I have just gone thru redundancy, I have reapplied for a job ( slight change in job role) and have been accepted for a role.
Now my concern is, if in 6 months or so we need to be made redundant again does time of service start from the new job role or from when I first started working here, also would it make a difference that a year ago the company was bought out so with new job role only just swapping contracts to new company.
Many thanx.

As long as there was no actual break in your employment between the job you did before and the job you have now been offered, then your employment will be continuous from your original start date.
This applies even if the original company was transferred and you with it.0 -
by 'gone through redundancy', do you mean actually were made redundant and paid redundancy pay etc? Or just consultation and this new role has come about through the course of that as alternative employment?0
