Hi All
I am 57 and have some 15 years no claims on my vehicle insurance, the company i work for are changing us all on to a fleet policy.
The issues i have are,i am due to retire in 4 years and will then need to insure my vehicle, will i be able to carry over the no claims discount ?,or will i have to start all over again.

You will be able to get a letter from the company's fleet insurer confirming you have had no claims in the period you are under their cover.
This will be accepted by the rest of the motor insurance industry as proof.
You should also keep your proof of NCD from your current insurer and file it away safely until that time, so that they can be added together.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
when I changed from a company insured vehicle to my own I used a broker to find a policy that would accept a letter from the company administrators to say I had been driving a company car fault free for 3 years.
They wouldn't give me NCD but offered a discount equivalent to 3 yrs NCD. Then in a years time I found a company who would accept the 1 yrs ncd + letter from company to give me 4 yrs ncd.
Situations like this it is better to use a broker rather than the comparison sites.0
