Balance Transfer Question

Hi there,

i'm looking for some info if anyone can help. I recently got a new rbs credit card, which has 0% balance transfers for 26 months.

So i transfered my balance from my other capital one credit card over to the new RBS one, so i now have a zero balance on the capital one card.

Now what i hope to do is to pay of some other debt i.e mail order accounts, by paying their balances off using the capital one card i.e just like making a purchase. As i have a interest free period on purchases made on the capital one card, i won't get any interest added, i then want to do another balance transfer onto my new rbs card.

So overall all my debt will be on the new rbs card with 26 months 0%.

Could this work? Can i balance transfer to same card twice. The combined balance on new rbs card are well under 95% of my credit limit and will be done way before the three month deadline for balance transfers. Any help would be great thanks.

All the cards I have seen will let you do multiple transfers during the offer period (ie the 3 months you mention).

Personally I'd double check when I call them up to do the transfer.

How about applying for a 0% purchase card? Then you wouldn't have to pay the fee.

You won't pay any interest on purchases anyway starting with a £0 balance if you transfer the statement total each month. I've done multiple BTs between the same two cards on various different BT deals and it's never been a problem.
  • It is better to see FAQ and terms and condition of the card.
