Caravan site charging for insuring elsewhere

Please can somebody give me a bit of advice. My mother has a static caravan and the site have said we need to pay them £35 + vat as an admin fee for them to check our caravan insurance as we insured outside of their scheme.
Is this legal?

I suspect she will need to check the T&Cs of her lease with the site to see what it states.0 -
Presumably the site insists on insurance to certain levels covering specified risks.
If so, check her policy yourself before forwarding it to the landlord.
If it doesn't match or exceed their requirements she may be able to save the inspection fee by taking their policy (and cancelling the one she has bought)0
