Spelling of name on booking, Ryanair

Hi, my girlfriend and I booked our first holiday on the telephone last night via Teletext Holidays. We used Broadway Travel. The people on the phone were very helpful and clear which was perfect. We gave them all of our details and double, double checked them.

On our invoice and booking confirmation (which have been emailed over in the last few hours), the spelling of our names is all correct, however my girlfriends surname does not start with a capital.

Does anyone know if this will be a problem? We all know how tricky Ryanair can be.

I have emailed them back drawing their attention to this, but just thought I would post on here in the mean time to see if anyone has experienced problems before.

Ryanair are only 'tricky' when people don't follow their very simple rules. There is no legal requirement that surnames start with a capital letter, so I'm sure you will be fine.

Thanks for your post. Yes I have heard from several people about the fun and games that can occur. I have only used them once in the past and had no problems with them at all.

OP has already broken Ryanair's most basic rule - you have to book directly with Ryanair

Hmmm, we booked over the telephone not online, so I can't see this being a problem.

You booked through a 3rd party which is againt Ryanair T&C (or rather, 3rd parties aren't allowed to sell their tickets). That said, unless you go out of your way to tell them this you're unlikely to have any problem.

Ah I see. Thanks for the clarification.
