Absolutely gutted, twice in as many minutes.

Today I loaded up a few competitions. I'm going on holiday for a bit soon, and will have no internet access so am being careful what I enter as if I win when i'm away I wont know. Nothing would be more annoying that to come home to letters or emails saying I've won but I've missed my chance to claim.
Anyway, I was sticking to a few instant wins. One was posted here, but I cant find it now, which was a chance to win a Samsung S4 at the Champagne Nicolas Feiulatte site. It was posted as 'instant win' on this site.
Actually, found it here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4632029/e-09-06-win-samsung-galaxy-s4-fb-app-instant-win-daily
Anyway, I've played it the last few days and each time got a loser. Today, I scratched it off and got 3 vintage corks. OH MY GOD! I've won a Samsung S4! is the first thing I think, before I get my screen alert to tell me I've won a chance to now enter a draw to possibly win a Samsung S4
Absolutely wounded. Thought I'd got my first decent prize.
Just then, I had an email notification. It was telling me I had a DM on Twitter. Checked in the email and it said "Winner Notification" as the first part of the DM. I ran over to twitter, opened it up, and found it to be a message letting me know how winners would be notified.
I've entered so many competitions this past week, I thought I'd have had a little win. Getting either of these would be amazing, but thinking I had them, and then them being taken away was so absolutely gutting.
I just wanted to share my pain. I need a hug.

Aww, try not to let it get you down, you have only just started comping, many people don't win for months.
It's best to enter and forget about them so you don't feel sad or let down about it, it should be an enjoyable, fun hobby to pass a bit of time.
Have you thought about trying instant wins from purchased products? I don't know if any are on at the moment but when I started out I won a smartphone from McCain's chips, an eBook reader from McVities biscuits, a prize package from Drench amongst others, they didn't cost much to buy and seem to have good odds.Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
I know not to get down or depressed from not winning, I have had one small win (A DVD I'm still waiting for) it was just the tease of me thinking both were dead cert wins, and neither were

I've got a bunch of competitions entered for the next week. Hopefully I'll get something from them. If not, when I get back from holiday, I'll start off again. I'll get something great one day
Not tried instant wins from purchases for a while, I may give that a go next time I do a shop.0 -
I absolutely know how you feel - just got an email with the subject line 'Congratulations on winning our iPad competition'
...the actual email then said something like 'There's still time to enter and this is what you'll get an email with if you do win!'
Hopefully you win something soon, but in the meantime have a lovely holiday!

I don't know why so many companies do this. It's frustrating and if you're having a bad day your heart does a little "Woop" dance for a minute then you find you've won nadda, nothing, zilch - just makes you annoyed with them.A closed mouth gathers no feet.0
