If this is as useless as it was last year, then they needn't bother. I & many other posters here found that the so called half price offer was coming up with quotes sometimes double what our existing companies were offering.

I insure with Halifax & the tesco quote was double in my particular case.

Shop around & compare companies is the best way to ensure you get the best deal.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

This is coming up a very expensive quote even at half price, I think it's a bit of a gimmick. You'll probably be better off doing the usual searches.

Same here ignore/avoid. They quoted me exactly the same as my current insurer and that's at renewal!

Someone should report them "tesco" every little help to rip you off!

I say give Tesco a go, they cut my home insurance by half compared to Direct Line, I saved the quote a few weeks ago when they did the first promotion, and I got to say I am really pleased with it. Tesco Price £158 for a 4 bedroom detached, Direct Line price £308, identical cover. I have been with DL for 8 years and never claimed, so why the huge difference?

I've just done the Tesco quote thing and it's come back as £80 cheaper than the next lowest!
