get your £20K in there asap (or certainly some of it).
They paid interest on mine quite early. I got on with it though.

They send you a txt when the account open.

What is the address for Santander when completing a DD form, considering this is an internet account?

The address on statements is 9 Nelson Street, Bradford, BD1 5AN (this is not my local branch)

I don't suppose it makes much difference which address you use for a DD. All they really need is your sortcode and account number.

Fortunately I don't pay any utility bills in my current situation, but I will try Quidco to get £55 cashback on opening the account which will more than cover the £2/month fee.

Although, reading the reviews, it sounds like you have to go through hell with Santander to get them to pay up!

The cashback on Quidco has now been reduced to £45.

It seems to yoh-yoh between £45 and £55

TCB is currently £55.55, up from £45, previous to that it was £55, so definitely a yo-yo situation like innovate says happens to Quidco as well. Will probably drop to £45 in 5 days time.

TCB have also released "TCB Plus", in which they charge £5 per year for "Upto 5% Bonus". Probably OK if you intend to earn a significant amount of cash back.

Is it just me or has the cashback on both Quidco and TCB changed recently?

I'm sure it was just "Approved Santander 123 Account" with either £55 or £45. Now it says "Cashback will only be issued once your account is successfully opened and you have switched from your existing bank.". However, I can't find the T&Cs for "Switching", ie, whether DDs and/or SOs are required. Asking Santander just gets me a "We don't know anything about Quidco or Top Cashback, we would advise you to only open accounts via our own website for security reasons. We do not give cash payments for opening accounts.".
