I thought that too. We have similar in our offices at work. I am not sure they're suited to homes, but each to their own.
Not sure what all the fuss is about. Standard rads are fine - they are functional and discrete.0 -
The first one does look like an industrial radiator. I could not access the second one as apparently there is a virus on the page.

They're not to my taste either - but we can't all like the same thing

put in whatever radiators you like....afterall it you and your husband that have to live with them....
Personally I dont think whichever one of the designer ones you choose will add any value to your house if you intend to sell it,but if you like the look of them then put in what you both want.
I can understand people wanting to put period features back in a house so opting for traditional radiators and on the other hand if you have a very contempory look to your property then radiators in a certain style may appeal but in honesty I have to say if I was a potential buyer of your house a little further down the line I wouldnt expect to pay a premium for the radiators of your selection, and as such you may end up putting people off making you an offer.
We once had an upright designer radiator which was very nice and looked great in the setting we had it...but because of its ladder design had to go once our baby became a toddler and thought it was fun to climb!...
But a house is for living in and if thats how you choose to spend your money then put in the radiators you and your husband like.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

We got ours from here, they are very helpful delivery fast and the rads are nice without the ouch price tag. Have done out two houses from here now
I don't work for them, just like their stuff!"Live each day as if it were your last and garden as though you will live forever"
