one of our kids was messing around with the pc and played a game
now the display settings have gone a bit funny
i have tried different resolutions but the normal size is now on 800x600 pixels
but theres about over an inch of blackness on the bottom
and my explorer doesnt have the red x on the top left
it looks like things are missing
i have tried different resolutions but this makes it either too small or too big
would just love to fit the screen perfectly
any help please
many thanks

Have you tried resetting to factory settings and then set it to what you want. This has worked for me before on CRT monitor. Don't know about flat screen or laptops.0

have you checked your graphics card drivers are still active, its possible the drivers need rolling back, it could even be that someone has been messing with the monitor buttons, id first check your graphics card is active wit no flags.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
