ICS possible refund?

Hi I took up two ICS courses, one a A-Level English language course, the other a GCSE maths course. I missed the exam for English language due to issues with my ex when I was doing my a-levels and I was terrible at GCSE maths so only got a d.
I paid £300 for each course, paying around £30 as deposit for each and paying £60 a month in total. I finished paying last year.
I was doing my uni course alongside these, hoping I could manage that, my son (a toddler- I'm a single parent) and rewrite past academic mistakes in time for graduate job-searching. I was made homeless this Jan (now sorted) and my father died last year (suicide- self-immolation) so I didn't get to do the Jan intakes, plus I dealt with a lot of depression. I pinned my hopes on July, as I'd finish uni a few weeks before.
Then I discovered the binder I had for each course were incomplete- there was another two to go and I wasn't told about this til I phoned up a few weeks back! None of the work said this and they sent it out to me, but obviously way, way too late!
THEN, I discovered my school stopped taking private candidates, not did any school/college/centre in my whole region (though listed by the exam board). No worries I thought, I'll extend the courses and do them further away next year. But no, the English lang one had last exams in jan and the syllabus was finished. I think the same for maths. So all coursework, all that course info, the binders now useless. ICS never raised this issue, didn't tell me, was never mentioned.
So I'm wondering if I can get a refund from ICS? It's £600 and even half that back would be worth it. I did the course maybe in bad timing, just wanting to redo my mistakes in school and now I've lost the chance. Please, please help if you can, as in my position that amount of money is a LOT and was meant as an investment for my future, so I can get jobs. I'm very upset thinking everything was for nothing.

Up and onwards to the future!

Did the missing parts go missing because of the issues in your life? You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

I would not think so - the 'missing' parts appear to be staged modules and would follow once you naturally reached that level.
The changes in your life are not their responsibility - as you have paid, the bargain is concluded and you should still have the benefit of support in completing the course.0
