Good Evening,
I've been looking at sporty diesels recently, specifically AUDI A3, Leon FR, FOCUS S TDCI and Golf GT TDI.
Can anyone recommend any other similar cars that might be worth a look at similar to the above?
My budget is realistically 5k so I think I'll have to rule the Focus out as the better ones all seem to be new and the best part of 10k minimum. I've had a Mk IV GT TDI so would probably prefer something different yet with the Leon and A3 I don't think I'm particularity getting that.
Grateful for any suggestions.

What do you call sporty? 0-60 of 4 seconds or less or at least 300bhp?
Or less power buy handles well?
Better focus is £10k+ ?? A focus is cheaper to buy than a Golf and probably more reliable.
Reliability you need a Skoda. So get a VRS ?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Nothing as quick as that, just a bit better on the eye and nippier than the standard models.
The Focus I've seen that I like are best part of 10k. I wouldn't have a Skoda, silly as I know they are the same as VW,AUDI etc but it's the name.0 -
Astra H Sportshatch SRI 1.9cdti 150bhp standard, easily remapped to 200bhp, get the XP kit one with the 18s.
Mondeo ST TDCI?
Honda Civic Type S with the 2.2 diesel
Smaller C2 VTS HDI
Gotta agree with forgetmyname, for your price range, the Fabia VRS is the best all rounder you will get. Unless you go for high miles or older with the Golf/A3.0
