Retiring building materials help

I have today taken delivery of some building materials, amongst them some concrete fence posts.
A the time they where delivered I was at home with alone with my 3 children. Any way I counted the posts and paid the delivery driver and signed the usual invoice.
Upon checking the post this evening they seem to be very poor quality with lots on air holes in the concrete and a very poor aesthetic look to them. I haven't broken the packaging tape binding the a they are still in the place they were delivered to on my drive. Can I phone the builder merchant and get my money back on them or have I made a costly mistake by signing for them?

How did you order them? Was the sale concluded in person at the merchants? Or at a distance?0

I ordered them over the phone so had no sight of them prior to delivery.0

DSR's will apply.
The DSR's might apply but it's not 100% certain.
It all depends if the posts were ordered on a consumer or business basis and if the builders merchant normally takes orders over the phone/the internet or if this is an infrequent thing.
If selling via distance means is only a rare way of selling for the retailer and they normally deal face to face, the OFT have stated that a distance sale may possibly be excluded from the DSR's.0 -
Just phone them and tell them the quality is poor and ask to have them exchanged.0
