MBNA phonecall....good sign ?

Right, so I have sent back my forms to MBNA, had a letter saying they are looking into my claim and now had a phonecall to just verify a few things which I had put in the form already anyway. Don't know if this is a good sign or not, at least they haven't just said no !!.
Watch this space lol :)

I have attached medical details as well. My gp kindly printed them out

However - reading some of the posts by the gurus on this site - i think its going to be a case of I misbought rather than was mis sold

I followed up responses on phone with a letter. --- further to conversation on dd/mm/yy at hh:mm i confirm blah blah

Just for my records and in your case if you need to send on to FOS

    Might be an idea?

I received a phone call to 'clarify' what i put in the letter. Basically, i had enough cover through other insurances. I got a letter yesterday saying that i was getting a refund of £297.43.....Not much but better than what i would've got if i did nothing and it took 5 minutes to complete a form and 5 minutes on the phone.

    PMFJI,

I would check that the amount is somewhere near what you think you have paid in PPI. I have heard of cases where someone has been offered that amount and it has been refused as the claimant knew they had paid more, and then ended up with a few thousand.

Just make sure that was a little over what you paid, as you will also get 8% simple interest.
  • Had a letter last week asking me to ring MBNA as they needed more details, just got another letter today asking me to ring them again !!!. Has anyone been asked for medical records when claiming ? It's the only other thing I can think they want to ask me about
  • Mine was upheld. I got the letter today

Make sure if u confirm details over the phone, you follow them up in writing and send registered post. Worked for me

    Best of luck
