€500 cash for paris, use cards only in barcelona, and if you're from the UK, why do you need to ask about london?

When we go away we generally budget about €100 a day for the two of us. That's us having breakfast in the hotel as part of the room price, a nice coffee and croissant for lunch, and a two-three course dinner at night. Also includes any day trips we want to go on, entry to a museum etc.
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Err.. maybe because the OP is not from London and so doesn't know how much things cost there?

The question is too vague for anyone to provide a useful answer, eg do you want to go clubbing every night, visit museums, what sort of tourist attractions etc.

For city specific info you're best posting on tripadvisor where there are experts for every city who'll be able to provide good info - providing you tell them what you'll be doing!

I'd agree that £100 a day should be more than enough. As you're going with a child I'd advise putting some lightweight snacks in your bag (like crisps and sweets). Eurodisney is notoriously expensive for food so if you can have a good breakfast and take snacks then it'll help cut down costs. In Barcelona you'll have a good value meal in the department store El Corte Ingles. In London, snacks are best from places like M&S or BHS (Oxford St) or Tesco (opposite Houses of Parliament) or anywhere where the price is the same nationwide. For child-friendly food, we like Garfunkels (loads of branches including one at Oxford Circus) or somewhere like Pizza Express. Look out for vouchers.

If just one adult and one child £50 a day should be easily enough for food - those cities are expensive but you can find good value places to eat. Though you could easily spend £100 a day without too much effort...

Hi, we found Barcelona to be quite reasonable cost wise and probably London the more dear. London you will want a travel card, around £5 each for unlimited per day in the inner zones. Barca we jumped on the sightseeing coach and was around 20-25E adult and cheaper for children. Paris can be costly for the essentials such as coffe and water but for a sit down meal i would say cheaper than london. If you budget 100 a day you should be fine.
All 3 are woonderfully beautiful unique cities. Have a wonderful time

Is it the first time you are going to Paris? When I went the first time I ended up spending more than I should have because I was pretty overwhelmed and felt like I needed to buy souvenirs for everyone.
