refund on online merchant over Billing

Hi, I subscribed to an online shopping site in December 2012 paying a joining fee with my c/c.

In the site rules it stated I could cancel membership within 30 days.

This is what I did via e-mail and letter, asking for cancellation confirmation e-mail.

No confirmation e-mail arrived.

I discovered a monthly subscription was been still taken each month for 5-6 months

The subscription is now cancelled this month, after another e-mail was sent this month.

What are my consumer rights to get refunded the over charged Billed membership each month?

Is their a recommended letter to send to this online merchant for a refund?

Thank you very much, have a good rest of day.:)

    Just to be clear:

You didn't receive confirmation of your cancelation request, but didn't follow it up?

You didn't notice a monthly charge on your CC every month for 6 months?

You could try writing to the company concerned with all this information and ask that they refund what you feel they owe you. Do you have any proof of the email and letter you sent? Like proof of posting or a copy of the email you can print off?

The situation is quite clear here.
You authorised the payments by CPA .
You only cancelled the authority after 5-6 months.

    The bank owes you nothing.

You need to chase the company suing them in the small claims if necessary.

Thank you very much, great advice.

but didn't follow it up? Yes

I use my C/C very little, I have a standing D/D payback each month, I viewed a Bill and noticed this debit at different dates on each month, and wrote to the company.
Do you have any proof of the email and letter you sent? Like proof of posting or a copy of the email you can print off? Have copy of e-mail.

Thank you, will not use C/C again for such purchases.
