The other thing that is happening a lot is the newbie posts comp with out link the second post is somebody posting the link and then a third post pointing out it was a duplicate anyway. Perhaps before posting a link we should check it isn't a duplicate as it's unlikely the newbie searched.

Guilty! Sorry, I try to just post the link if it is needed and move on to next comp I have opened, I hate asking anyone to amend anything or point out dupes incase it offends, I'll bear your post in mind as I comp.

No I'm guilty too it was just after we had one person last week posting loads of duplicate posts it struck me that it would be better if the regulars checked for dupes first. It is also helpful if somebody points out how to edit the title so the comp doesn't end up in GO; mind you I usually leave that to WeeOwens :rotfl:

I didn't used to point out dupe as well but then I released it's more helpful if you do in case people accidentally enter twice.

i dont think its rude to say its been posted before it helps with keeping the board tidy and prevent mutiple entries
