Hi Everyone
I am looking to upgrade my home computer as currently only have Windows Me - and have now got a new MP3 player and want to put the software that came with it on my PC - that needs 2000 or newer!!
So my question is - where is the best place to buy this from - for the cheapest??
Which would I be best upgrading to?

That would make it a very expensive MP3 player. What make and model is it?
You are looking at £60 plus for an OEM version and you will have to buy some hardware with it to justify the OEM conditions. What is your PC specification ie processor, amount of ram, hard disk etc ?

Have a look on Amazon.co.uk for Windows XP Home Edition. It's quite pricey on Amazon, but if you look on the Marketplace part for the product you'll see people selling it for around £60-70.
Ideally, unless you're computer isn't of high enough spec, you'll probably want to go for Windows XP. Windows 2000 is more business orientated, where as XP Home Edition is like the name says, aimed at the home user."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
You may be able to use your MP3 player on your current windows
eg for Ipods (which require 2000 or XP) http://www.geocities.com/mmcfly8888/
will tell you how to use ME or even 98TANSTAAFL !0
