Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Everyone

NSD no 2 of June for me today. Horray! Worked all day in the end, and just had a spag bol that the OH made for us all. No booze tonight either, just a pot of Red bush tea for two. I am craving a wine though, I reckon if tommorows a good day at work I'll find the £3.50 for a bottle of on offer wine at Tescos on the way home :)

The best news today was that our car failed its MOT, yes you read that right, good news. It failed on a bust windscreen wiper (cost to fix £10) and a bad back tyre (cost to replace £20, used but fine tyre) so the whole thing only cost £75 including the MOT, as they do a free retest. How cool is that! I have been really dreading the MOT and thinking it could derail us this month. So yeah us!
Car tax to find at the end of June, but OH will have been paid again by then so all fine.

I have decided to try& pay off another £100 off credit card 2 by the end of June. Have already done almost £200 in total on the two combined this month. Its quite a tough gig but you've got to try.

Ziggy - Hope your grandsons enjoyed the trampoline. My little boy has one, and its been the best money we ever spent.

    Night all

  • Morning all,

    Right a proper post today.

Josie - thanks for starting of the thread, exciting news re your house
DNMS and ziggy - you're super productive as always *jealous*
Candy - hope your friend came round and you had a good evening
nattiecake - hope you're feeling brighter today
lpp and minniemousesmummy - good to see you
bobarella - excellent news on the mot

We I had a quite naughty spendy day yesterday. It started with good intentions and ended with beers and bbq :o

Also, my friend arrived just as I put the cookies in the oven and we started gabbing... they are on the edible side of burnt (if there is such a thing) and I am forcing myself to eat them anyway.

On the plus side, the bbq was only OH and me so we still have 2 burgers, 8 sausages and a pack of bourbon ribs (3 for 2 offer in tesco). These all now in the freezer. Also have some beers and cider left. I WILL NOT drink these in the week and hopefully save some ££ next weekend.

We also had our home grown salad leaves on the burgers and they were yummy. Had them for lunch too in a cheese sandwich (homemade bread too yum yum yum)

    So today's mission:

Steer clear of beers in fridge!

Tend to garden - flowers appearing on tomatoes :j

Water plants with water from shower

Only take £10 to OH's gig this afternoon. Drink mostly water because it's outdoors and will be roasting!

    Finish housework (booooooo)

Right, off to it! Have a good one all :)

Good afternoon, I enjoyed a long lie this morning as I am feeling a bit low, think I need to do some stuff for me this week so will need to have a think about what I want to do.

    My list for today:
    • Sort paperwork for next week
    • Do some course work
    • Submit s&s information
    • Laundry (got 7 loads to get done)
    • Look out the first size of baby clothes
    • Try not to have a go at DH (he's not done anything wrong but I'm just feeling low)
    • HHI
    • Print paperwork and update accounts
    • Print the flyers to go with Avon books
    • All meals from stores
    • Plant some seeds
    • Cut the grass if it is dry enough, as we had a shower of rain overnight
I think that is probably more than enough for me to be working on today given the way that I am currently feeling. Hope everyone has a good Sunday, hugs to those that need/want them x
