Moving to new address- EON
I'm currently a tenant and i have some arrears with eon. i'm in a big place and would like to move to a smaller space. but i cannot return the house because of the arrears with eon and the rent stops me from saving money. is there any way to move in to a new place and take my eon debt with me and return the house to landlord without any arrears?

When you move into a new house you have to register with the supplier whose is currently supplying that property, you are then free to switch to a new supplier if you wish.
When you move in you are in a 'deemed' contract with them , you should ring and register with them on the day you move in and provide them with your opening meter reads.
As far as your EON debt , once you have moved and provided your final meter reads you would have to try and set up a payment plan with them to pay the arrears back over possibly up to 12 months.0 -
Your LL won't have any arrears if you leave in debt. The debt is yours and remains so.
Once you leave, the account is closed and the full debt becomes payable, unless you can negotiate a payback schedule.
You can't transfer an account to a new property. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
