Morning everyone.
It's been a bit cloudy, but I think the clouds will burn off now, although the north east breeze will keep the temperatures down. But it'll be good drying weather, so my sheets will be out on the line soon.
After that, I'm going to concentrate on eBay. I have several things that are quite large size-wise, and I've been putting off listing them, as they'll take a while to pack and if they all sell, I'll be overloaded when I take them to the post office. But I've had enough of them lying around in the spare room, so I want to get them all listed today.
Apart from that nothing else going on. I recorded The Bourne Legacy on Sky last night, so we'll probably watch that this evening.

Morning All,
Another beautiful day here. Mrs R and I had a lovely evening out last night. I had gammon, eggs and chips, which I haven't had for a long time and it was very tasty.
Tenyearstogo I think the NHS is very lucky to have you. Your dedication does you proud.
Halight glad to see you are still on the mend.

We are having GS over today and keeping him overnight. He loves staying with us and is such a delightful child to play with. However his energy levels mean we will be happy to pass him back to mummy and daddy so we can get a rest!
Have a lovely day everyone. :beer:0 -

Nahhh.... i'll stick with them a bit longer as I only bought them a month ago. With any luck I wont be hit by a truck or something and get carted off to hospital. If I do, i'll just have to console myself by reminding myself that at least they aint got any holes in.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hello All,
Was going to say morning but just looked at the time! Been up for a little while and have put washing out on the line, another load in the machine and made a start on tidying up the kitchen.
Congratulations to those who have had good news on the job front, and sorry to those who are still struggling with health issues.
Feeling under par today, hubby has a sore throat so perhaps I am starting with a cold.
Need to work on the budget again, as seem to be having a lot of unexpected outgoings lately so need to work out a plan. Had to cancel my hair appointment as not enough money in the kitty
Need to crack on with the kitchen, hope you all have a good afternoon/evening.

How are your blankets coming along Hester? What colour are you doing now?0 -
Afternoon all
The washing is drying quickly on the line, the 4th load is on there now. I've stripped and changed the bed, hubby has picked a huge lettuce & some shallots. I've dusted and wet mopped the hall, cleaned the downstairs loo & the upstairs bathroom. I've also got a couple of loaves in the oven, one is a cob loaf, the other is a trencher topped with herbs from the garden some chopped onion, garlic & chopped cheese.
Floss, I was given some ribbon yarn by a neighbour who couldn't get on with it, so I'm making 6 scarfs this weekend. I shall then go back to crochet doing one blanket in green, cream, yellow & magenta, and another one in shades of blue & lilac. Both my DD's are hoping to get pregnant this year so I will be doing blankets for them.
Hugs Hester

I was certainly glad of the Union rep when I took medical retirement, back in 2001, having been on sick leave since November 1999. Several doctors, including the Army doctor, who was known for not standing for lead-swingers, had said I should be retired on both physical and mental health grounds, and couldn't understand why the bosses were dragging their feet (in fact they were hoping I'd resign; they wouldn't have had to pay me a pension then:mad:). If it hadn't been for the Union chap fighting my corner, I'd likely have buckled.I agree that sometime's with unions its hit and miss noways. If you get a good Rep, Then your really set up to fight your corner and the money that you pay out for membership is worth every penny,
On the other hand if your Rep is useless then as you said the money is much better off in your pocket,
The trouble is I hear more and more story's about useless reps than good one's !
Yes!!:D The housework has really gone to the dogs this week!:rotfl: They're great company though, we shall really miss them when they go home on Monday.:oLW Are Bailey and Cassie wearing you out?
Molly bummer re the transfusion - I hope it goes better for you next week.
TYTG Congratulations and well done.:beer:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thought i'd paste this comment from my daughters' Facebook status this morning. I couldn't help but laugh. I don't think she was very pleased though:
4am this morning, while already having a sleepless night because of babies, Someone rang the Baby House intercom disturbing all the babies in the process, I answered it very irritated, to a guy saying "I'm here to see the girls" i rudely said.. "READ THE SIGN ON THE GATE THIS IS A BABY HOUSE NOT A BROTHEL" Apprarently there is a brothel just around the corner. *SHOCK*

Afternoon all,
tenyears so pleased about your job:j:D well done, I personally think the NHS are wonderful:T
Halight glad your healing well
molly sorry things didn't work out yesterday fingers crossed for Monday.
BB my mum had a knee replacement quite recently and was in and out in four days.
Well been missing since yesterday morning so just had a quick catch up.
Yesterday morning after I posted my plan was to spend the day working on my CV ( I'm really hoping to get a job once back to full fitness) but I'm determined not to go back to teaching so the job search is quite difficult.
Anyway got a call from my friend a bit upset could she come round for a coffee, spent an hour chatting and putting the world to rights.
She had just left when my sons GF who I love rang very upset. She has had a major fall out with her Best friend, the girl sounds like a bully to me, plus they work together:eek: she really feels there is no going back and had already started to look for a new job. I tried to explain that sometimes some people don't add anything to your life and you have to let them go and move one. Anyway she calmed down I made her lunch and she went off much calmer. Woo I felt like Marjorie Proops.
Anyway managed a bit of work on my Cv in the afternoon.
Our evening out was lovely, and I had said it was ok for my youngest to have a few friends around, few being the operative word, we returned home to find chaos, they had made a real mess, drinks spilled, lamps broken someone had been stood in the bath. I was absolutely furious
I think more people had turned up than he expected and it had snow balled. Don't think it was the girls and lads I know personally but threw the lot out. Took us an hour to straighten things up and the rest of this morning to clean and fix and wash away the damage. He has had a really good telling off and his birthday party has been cancelled, plus he has had to clean the bathroom and generally help out.
I've calmed down now but oh I was cross. He is normally a good lad, but believe me he won't do it again Grrrr
So today been to visit my dh auntie who is the only one of his dads siblings left and in a nursing home. We try and see her fairly often and it's her birthday so we called for an hour with a card and plant.
Next was food shopping. I'm pooped, my legs killing and I've probably overdone it, so this afternoon I shall be mainly sitting with it up.
Have a good Saturday xxStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.0 -
Afternoon everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Bit of a late post from me.
We were up early and out the door, as DH and I took DS2 to his karting lesson - he'd asked if we would take him and stay to watch as they were doing races today. Was lovely to watch although really cold and blustery. We left in plenty of time - so we stopped off at the well known fast food restaurant and bought a breakfast - was not too bad.
Dinner last night was gammon, egg, mash, peas, green beans and onion sauce - clean plates all round.
Was reasonably productive yesterday - got some more ironing done and another load now dry. Got a chicken out of the freezer for tomorrows lunch. DS1 has a revision session tomorrow - at least it's a bit later in the morning this time!
Have spoken to Tax people today as had a letter from them and actually got to speak to someone who seemed to know what they were talking about and he said the last person I had spoken to has entered the information I gave them incorrectly on the system and so we have been underpaid - so he has taken the up to date figures from our P60s and we will be receiving a correct calculation and if they have underpaid me - I will get a refund - he says they have underpaid me because of their error - but I am not getting excited will wait to see what comes through in written format before I believe it! I did wander whether the advisor knew what she was talking about at the time as she didn't sound very confident with what she was telling me at the time! We'll have to wait and see what they come up with! I have been investigating the new camera I want further and I now know which I definitely want just a matter of ordering it etc. Hoping I can do that this week. Did go to the caravan to collect the tables to use for the yard sales next weekend - we will be getting stuff together to sell tomorrow morning as there's not enough time in the week - have paid and are all ready - just hope the weather is kind to us. Have also redeemed some vouchers to pay for some activities whilst we are on holiday - feels like things are staying to come together - still have a few weeks to go but it will soon be with us as the weeks seem to be flying past.
Going to have a lie-in tomorrow as seem to be waking up stupid early and then feeling shattered.
The school have not been in contact about the problems with DS2 and no-one has been to speak to him - I appreciate they are busy and he's not the only one that needs assistance but now starting to feel like they just gave me meetings with the Principal and Inclusion Officer to keep me "on side" and now nothings being done - I will give them another week and if nothings been done by the end of this week I will be getting in touch with them again.
Keep safe and well x
