Removing all the trial software from Dell Laptop

Hi

I just purchased a Dell Laptop (6400) with XP thanks to all the advice here I got it supersized to have a bigger hard drive, battery and bluetooth for nothing.

Anyway I got the order document and there is a whole load of trial software coming preinstalled which i will never use.

Can someone advise me being a novice what i will need to do when it arrives to remove them will it just be a case of Start - control panel - add/ remove program or is there more to it?

Also this is my first ever laptop - any tips or advice would be welcome!!!
