Recently a friend of mine broke the battery charging bit that is at the side of the laptop(you can tell i know the jargon!!!) Anyway, he went out and bought a new laptop, my question is to do with whether you can get an external battery charger for laptops or do you have to get someone to repair the bit that is now on the inside of the laptop.
This sounds confusing i know.

It's probably broken the point on the motherboard it connects to so getting it repaired out of warranty would have been just as expensive.0

yes you can get external battery chargers, but the price isn't really worth it (generally).0
