Hi, maybe someone can advise.
I have written to Santander requesting what personal information they have disclosed on me to CRA and they have refused stating that I need to ask them.
I can't see how his is legal under personal data protection act?

OP does make an interesting point though. Assume it is because they are the appointed data handler.
I've previously wondered why you can't just make an FOI request to Experian for your data, unless that is what you are effectively doing for the £2 statutory charge.0 -

you mean a SAR. Not FOI.unless that is what you are effectively doing for the £2 statutory charge.
yes, you are doing a limited SAR when you request your credit files, as per section 9 of the dpa rather than section 7

Thanks but surely the bank has a obligation to provide me the exact data they provided the credit agencies. I need to present a report on this ad don't want to disclose my entire credit history.0

The exact data Santander have supplied to the credit reference agencies will be the data that is shown on any santander accounts that appear on your credit files with the 3 credit reference agencies.
You can identify this data easily and replicate it in a report, it does not mean you need to disclose your entire credit history.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Probably because it says you agree to them passing such information to CRAs in the Ts&Cs you signed when you opened your account with SantanderOptimists see a glass half full
