home damage and repair cover

I am moving into a new house soon. The house is fifty years old and I want a damage and repair cover like Homeserve or British Gas . Just in case a burst pipe or faulty boiler happens.Does anyone recommend another or one of them for cover?.

What kind of damage...?

You can insurealmost anything:

* your boiler
* entire central heating
* drains/plumbing
* mains water supply pipe
* electrics
* domestic appliances (washing machine etc)
* TV
* computer
* accidental damage to contents (eg spilling paint on carpet)
* P*ssy sickness - that's the cat's, not yours (though come to think of it there's health insurance and critical illness insurance!)

So first decide what you want, then shop around via google, comparison sites, or indeed this website eg here
