ParkingEye Ltd Parking Charge Notice received!

Hi
I recently used one of Parkingeye Ltd carparks and some days later i received a parking charge notice through the post. I paid at the ticket machine for 3 hours parking, and left before this ticket ran out. The letter doesn't state exactly what i have done wrong, just that signs clearly state charges and times for the carpark. Luckily i still had my ticket so i have appealed!
The thing i don't understand is that the letter shows a photo of me going in and out of the carpark stating the times - but how do they know how many hours carparking i paid for if they are just using these cameras? Surely if there is a ticket machine they have a warden walking round checking these on show inside cars (like mine was)?
The other thing is that there were 2 other cars with me who stayed and paid for the same amount of time - yet these haven't received any parking charge notice?!?!

The ANPR system will record the registration you entered into the ticket machine (you normally have to type in your reg) and cross reference it with the cameras. It's probably been issued because you entered it wrong? Check the ticket!0

I only typed in the numbers of my reg number which was only 2 digits as it didnt let me type in any letters. So as there may have been many cars with the same 2 digits on their reg plates that day how can they determine which car overstayed or whatever they are charging for!
Its so ridiculous that isn't it x0 -

You do realise this is a scam fake PCN? Read the other threads on the forum and you will see how to challenge this properly and get the fake PCN scam cancelled. The ANPR system will record the registration you entered into the ticket machine (you normally have to type in your reg) and cross reference it with the cameras. Steady now!! You took this a bit too seriously and could have misled the OP to think it was legit. They don't need to check the 'ticket' as this is a con. That's what the parking forum is all about.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
