Entered the Wrong Registration on Parking Ticket

Hi,
this is the first time I have used moneysavingexpert but have read through some threads in the past and found the information useful. Just sharing my experiance and we will see what happens.
A few weeks ago I parked on a parking eye car park and paid for a ticket. At the ticket machine they requested you enter you full registration however unfortunately I wasn't thinking and entered a completely wrong invalid registration. Got a ticket displayed it in my car window and then returned a few hours later within the time and left.
Today I received I letter asking for a £100 parking charge (discount if I pay early). I have appealed online with a photograph of the ticket I bought and we will see what will happen.
Does anyone know the likely outcome from similar cases?
I'll keep you posted and let you know what happens
Kind Regards

The outcome will be a standard 'computer says no' rejection letter with the ref 'EYE01'.
Let us know when that arrives and whether they have given you a POPLA code, read up about POPLA appeals in the meantime on this forum and from reading the forum results from the above linky.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
