Yeah, it puts a number up on the screen if it hits a snag, you dial the number, explain that you have had to reinstall after a software issue and they sort it out for you.0

I think I'm sorted now, all files etc seem intact, I'll double check everything is saved to CD, give it a couple of days and then if there's any sign of trouble I'll do a clean install.
