Well, barclays sent through a letter saying I MAY have been mis sold PPI. I couldn't remember anything about this graduate loan - how much it was for- the year i took it out or when I paid it off. I did fill in an online questionnaire very scarcely and just hoped they would investigate thoroughly.
As I thought about it- I recollect a phone call with someone from barclays and we were talking about me being a PE teacher- susceptible to injury- and I know they wouldn't have a record of this phone call.
The only thing I could have claimed was that I would have had six months sick pay (including injury). That's what led me to think I may have been mis-sold PPI.
Just had a text from barclays which I get for my balance- and there is an extra £944!!!! Haven't had a letter from them yet! But this is great news!!!

If it does turn out to be a refund I would be very interested in how you got round the fact that you ticked the box, as I am in the same situation. My husband ticked the box but the policy was useless for him.0

Probably an auto-payout. The amount is certainly with those realms. The fact that they wrote to you is also a point in your favour.Scarlett12 wrote: »Just had a text from barclays which I get for my balance- and there is an extra £944!!!! A proper investigation by the bank would lead to a rejection if you applied by post and ticked the box.0 -

As soon as I receive the letter - I will let you know how they've come to this decision!0 -
They won't give any reasons for upholding your complaint, Banks only give reasons why complaints are rejected.Scarlett12 wrote: »As soon as I receive the letter - I will let you know how they've come to this decision!
A proper investigation by the bank would have lead to a rejection if you applied by post and ticked the box. Obviously not investigated (or the Bank have found an unrelated fault)0
