Wasps Nest in Cavity Wall?

In the last few hours i've seen a couple of wasps crawl in to the gap to the left of this red device. Not seen any come out, but then not really been watching intently or anything.
My partners thinks there's a possibility there is a nest in the wall cavity.... should we be concerned? This is new to me, never really had to worry about this problem as i've never experienced it.

Take some insect spray and give good skoosh into the gap, then retire to a safe distance to observe.0

Its only wasps, not killer bees - leave them alone we need all the wild life we have.0

It's unlikely, but not impossible, i think you'd notice it quite quickly. either way, get some poison, insert poison, forget about it. In that order0

I did suggest this to the OH and she had her reservations, maybe i'll wait til she goes to sleepIts only wasps, not killer bees - leave them alone we need all the wild life we have.
So there's no reason to be concerned? They won't make new holes in our plasterboard? Or cause problems with insulation? Or anything else?0 -
Wasps are burrowers, nests expand and they have to go somewhere...
I'd deal with it sooner rather than later.0 -
I bought a foam from amazon, which could be used from a save distance away. Just checked up to 3 meters away, works best if you are on an equal level to the entrance.0

There are very few wasps around at this time of year.
You sure it is not masonry bees?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
We have a wasps nest in the wall, too. I've been ignoring it, but have a wasp phobia. For two years we've found a lot of wasps in the house, mainly in the bathroom by the air vent, and now that I've found where they're getting in I'm wondering if the two are connected.
Will watch suggestions in this thread with interest...then get OH to take action whilst I hide!0
