the interest on 1,000 over a few weeks isn't going to be very much, so just wait until after you have moved.EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%

Just remember to alert the electoral roll as soon as you move so you don't risk any sceptical lenders when you go to apply after you've moved!

What credit checks are you still expecting to be done, if you're moving house in only a few weeks?0

I would apply before you move as you'll have a poor credit rating immediately after moving and may get rejected simply for not being on the electoral roll - it could take 6 months for all CRAs to show you at the new address and match the electoral roll and even then you'll be considered a greater risk than you are now because of moving house0

madness to compromise a mortgage for a credit card
"moving in a few weeks" so credit check must already be done. Don't see any compromise unless the whole thing falls through, and even if it did, an extra search would make no odds to a mortgage app and a new credit agreement wouldn't appear immediately either.
Silly to move into a new house and not be able to get a new BT credit card to shift new purchases onto and spread the cost over 2 years at 0% interest, all because you didn't plan ahead0
