Currently selling a few things on facebook groups. Had a few honest people turn up and pay, great. Also had a few timewasters.
I stay in and make sure I have the item ready, clean and accessible. That takes a while! It's just rude

How about an upfront £2 PayPal 'commitment' charge, discounted from the cash price, but weeds out the deliberate idiots (of which there are many, many, many!)?0

Good idea, but most of my items are either under £2 or free lol0

I gave away a child's cot bed for free on there. Girl picked it up, ten mins later she was selling it on same site for £30!!!!!0

I would have named and shamed her!0 -
Why? Someone gives you something.....what business is it of anyone on what you do with it?
Seriously? If I have ever been given something for free and then didn't want or need it I would 1st offer it back and then offer again for free to someone else.. Karma
To take something know you were selling it on is IMHO wrong and stopping someone in a less fortunate position using it.
I'm sure the OP gave it away hoping to have helped someone out not made then a quick £ or they would have put a price on it themselves.0 -
Good for her!?
I had about ten people who probable genuinely needed it ask for it, she spouted a sob story about being desperate and I gave it to her.
That's morally wrong and it should have gone to a family who needed it.
Good for her? I couldn't live my life conning people for a living, that's horrible!0 -
Did you not think to write "no timewasters" in your advert? I've seen it so many times, it must be effective! :-D0
